Tide Pods; really?

Best Product has killed at least one child

by V. Martin copyright 2016

Am I the only one bothered by the fact they named product of the year the same product we've been warned about all year to keep away from children?  It doesn't bother anyone else that children have gone to the emergency room, one even dying, after eating a Tide pod.  The pods look a lot like candy to the kids so of coarse they eat it realizing too late candy it is not.  Making this harmful and potentially deadly product product of the year is clearly sending me the wrong message, what could it be saying to the kids?  They are hearing that a product that is known to be harmful to children gets rewarded for it, that's all.  They don't care how white it makes the whites or how it saved their favorite out fit after they got mustard on it.  Who cares about all that stuff if your too dead to know any of it any way.
