TheMotherofAllInvention

The mother of all invention isn't necessity, it's laziness.

Who ever said necessity is the mother of all inventions wasn't being very honest with themselves.  None of this was necessary, it only became necessary when we became dependent on these inventions.  The only reason for most of them was because the woman went to work leaving no time to beat the rugs, beat the rocks in the stream with dirty laundry, beat the kids when they get out of line, go to the store on a daily basis, teach our children, raise our children, write letters, plow the fields, milk the cows, gather the eggs, feed the chickens, make breakfast, lunch, and dinner all from scratch and with lots of love.  Now, we have vacuum cleaners, dishwashers, food processors, fast food drive thru, pizza delivery, washer & dryers, the internet, and so on.  Heck, we don't even have to leave the house if we don't want to, everything is available on line and will be delivered right to your door.  We've become so lazy all we have to do for entertainment is push a button on our remote(because we can't be bothered with getting up to turn the T.V on) and instant entertainment.  So really, who are we kidding? When was the last time you gathered around a piano and belted out a few jolly tunes? Or when was the last time you played a board game, cards, crocheted, sewed, or any of the things women use to do to pass the time, when they had some.
